I'm not going to lie, this week has been a big fat non-stop dollop of blahness. There has been nothing exciting, nothing new and not much in the way of fun. The job search still goes on and as hopeless as it seems right now I just have to keep going until something does come up but oh man is it depressing having no money to go shopping! My boyfriend started his new job this week so we don't get to hangout anywhere near as much but on the rare occasion that we have had time together it's been extra lovely :) It's incredibly difficult being stuck back in the parental nest again. I can't wait to be in our new home, where ever that will be, enjoying our evenings together.

June Favourites
avon, beauty, dead sea spa magik, elasticizer, favourites, fearne cotton, garnier, i pout, june, lip balm, make up, nail polish, new cid, philip kingsley, salt brushing scrub, skincare, summer body
I love reading favourites posts, mostly because I'm nosey but also because it's fun to see what kind of products other bloggers have been using on a regular basis. It's a great way to get some good recommendations. I thought I'd give it a go myself so here are my most loved products from June. I've been enjoying digging right in to my old favourites that I left at home whilst I was off on my travels and there are quite a few things that I've been missing.

I'm On Bloglovin!
So Google Reader is soon to disappear and there is much talk of Google Friend Connect following close behind it. This is by far the easiest way to follow blogs in my opinion but, should it disappear, it's not the only way. So I thought I would list a few other ways that you can stay up to date with my posts if you so wish...
I also love to find new blogs to read so if you follow me and have your own blog leave me a comment so I can have a read ^_^
Snapshots From Oz #1
I cannot get over the fact that I have been home in the UK for a month already! Sometimes it almost feels like I never went away which is such a sad thought. It has been quite hard getting used to the different lifestyle over here and I miss everything about Australia including the lovely accent that I got so used to hearing.
For the last few weeks I have been searching for a new job which is as stressful as ever with there being very few vacancies in my line of work with the full time hours I desperately want and need. I'm finding it hard to switch off from that at times and feel kind of guilty if I'm not looking for work every waking hour. To help me switch off I've been putting together a little personal project which involves going through photos of our journey around Australia. If anything it reminds me of all the fantastic memories we had in the last year and some days it is just what I need to help cheer me up whilst also giving me something else to focus on away from my job search.
So here are a few random shots I've picked out of the obscene amount of photos we took that I'd like to share with you. These are all taken using my phone so they may not be the most super awesome quality. I'm also not an excellent photographer so these really are just snapshots! Anyway, I hope you enjoy :)
Pink Wednesdays Week 3
asda, beauty, george, nail polish, nails, notd, pink, pink wednesdays, review, swatch
I've been all over pinks and corals recently so it occurred to me that I should start doing Pink Wednesdays again. I've only done a couple in the past but since I now have the time to paint my nails more often then I might as well take advantage while I can. So here is my third Pink Wednesday post.

Ciate Cookies And Cream Caviar Manicure
I've been dying to try the Ciate 'Caviar Manicure' for ages so when I saw that Marie Claire were giving away mini sets with their magazine this month of course I had to grab one. The set includes one 5ml polish and 10g of their teeny tiny pearls.

Starting Afresh
I really didn't know whether to post this or not but in the end I decided there's no real harm and if it's not the kind of post you want to see here then please feel free to skip on to the next post (I have a lovely nail related post coming up shortly).
Since arriving back from my year in Australia I decided I wanted to have a massive clear out and be ready to have a fresh start when I eventually move into my new home. Yep, I'm currently crashing at my parents for at least the next 4 or 5 months which gives me a great opportunity to clear out the old to make space for the new.
I've started clearing out my closet first and have begun listing some of my unwanted clothing and accessories on my ebay account, most of these things are starting at just 99p as I really just want it all to go. I thought I would post up a few items here in case anyone who happens to come across this post might be interested. So here are just a few things I have listed right now, if you're interested in any of these just click on the photos...

Review: Avon Perfect Kiss Lipstick
Recently I've been feeling more than a little bit blah! I'm definitely putting it down to a mixture of post Aussie blues and the lack of job opportunities that are around at the moment. I'm quite fed up of having no money coming in and the little I've got I can't afford to blow on beauty treats. Last week I happened to look at the magazine rack in the supermarket and noticed all of the incredibly good freebies that were being given away at the moment. I picked up a copy of Marie Claire for just £2.50 which included various free Avon products. I chose the lipstick because I'm finding myself wanting to wear lip products more and more these days.
I really love the colour of 'Smitten Red', which is a very pretty berry red. It looks quite fab against my tan and I have a feeling I will be wearing this quite often. It's quite nicely pigmented with a creamy consistency and a glossy finish. So far whenever I've worn this it has only been for a short time and it has lasted really well so I'm looking forward to seeing how well this lasts for a full day.
Avon's Perfect Kiss Lipsticks are usually £8.50, which is a decent price, but at the moment they are on offer for just £4. I definitely think that's a fantastic bargain!

Review: Pink Tease Gel Eyeliner
I'm a massive fan of eyeliner on my top lids and love the look of a sexy kitten eye. Recently I've been practising my liner skills and I'm not doing too badly but I seem to struggle to get it looking even... one eye always looks so much better than the other! I generally just use a pencil liner but I absolutely love the deep inky black precision of a liquid liner. I simply suck at applying it! I've been dying to try a gel liner and a few days ago I saw this one by Pink Tease in Poundworld and, for just a quid, thought I'd give it a whirl.

Back In Business - NOTD
I'm finally back in the UK after spending a wonderful 12 months in Australia. It's been quite hard getting used to everything again from the British accent to the rather chilly spring weather. I've leapt straight into looking for work so that Simon and I will be able to move back into our own place in a few months time. Not that I don't enjoy the company of my family, I'm just eager to have my own space again.
Anyway, onto the nails. It's been a busy week since we arrived home with both Simon and his mum having birthday celebrations. On both occasions we went out for a meal with his family and, as I haven't really been able to wear much polish in the last year, I decided to wear something a bit glitzy. Here I'm wearing a set of my glitter nail extensions. I absolutely love this deep cherry red colour and it looks fabulous against the jeans that I wore to both celebrations. I can't resist a bit of sparkle on my nails but I didn't want to overdo it. This glitter gives just the right amount of shimmer and looks beautiful in the bright sunlight we've been treated to in the last few days (even if it still feels freezing cold to me!).
