Lacura All In One Skin Perfector BB Cream

I never used to like wearing foundation in my teens and early 20's (oh god, now I'm starting to feel old!) but I think I was pretty lucky in that I rarely felt like I needed to.  I used to get comments on how I looked like a porcelain doll.  I didn't have perfect skin but it was good enough that I didn't really have to bother wearing heavy make up thankfully.  On rare occasions I would pick one up just to give it a go and see if I could change my mind but every time I just couldn't stand the feel of it on my face.  In the last year or two I've started to feel like I need that little bit of coverage but I still don't want to coat my face in thick layers so I'm always on the look out for something lightweight and quick and easy to apply.  When I first came across BB creams I thought great, sounds perfect for me!

Lacura Cleansers

Usually I don't need anything heavy duty to clean my face as I generally have dry, sensitive skin.  I can pretty much just use my beloved Taaj Micellar Water on cotton pads to remove daily dirt.  Here in Australia it's a completely different story!  The heat and humidity has made my skin more greasy and congested so I need something aimed more towards oily skin to keep my face lovely and fresh.

I wouldn't normally buy my beauty products from Aldi but these two cleansers have been a god send!  My backpackers budget just doesn't stretch far enough to justify spending $10+ here, where beauty products can cost up to 50% more than the same item in the UK!

Natures Organics Wild Berry Shampoo & Conditioner

My hair is probably the one thing about me that I hate.  Always have and always will.  It's naturally curly, dry, frizzy and fine and I've always struggled to make it look half decent.  I can't ever remember a time growing up when I didn't wish my hair was pretty and straight like all of my friends.  Instead I had a little mess of fuzzy ringlets.  Growing up I had so many people telling me they would love to have natural curls like mine and I would be thinking the same about their lovely poker straight hair.

L'Oreal Colour Appeal Trio Pro Eyeshadow

Hey guys, first beauty post in a long, long time!  It's been a very difficult week for me and I'll be honest, I haven't felt like blogging at all but it's helping me keep my mind off the difficulties I'm facing right now.

Anyway, it's my first review in a while and I have this fab little trio of eyeshadows to review.  The idea behind the Colour Appeal trios is that each one contains 3 shades that work together to enhance certain eye colours.  I have the trio in 409 Forever Rosewood which is for green eyes.  My eyes are kind of a weird colour and I honestly don't know what colour to class them as because they seem to be a mix of both blue and green.
