Being a lipstick newbie I tend not to be very adventurous with the colours I wear. There's nothing wrong with that at all but when I recently reviewed my New CID i-gloss in Coconut Ice I had a light bulb moment. It would look gorgeous over a red lipstick I thought. Whilst taking photos for my recent Studio Make Up Lipstick post I had a quick go at layering the two.
I really like how this looks. The gold shimmer of the gloss softens the bright red colour of the lipstick and makes me feel a little less self conscious about wearing brightly coloured lipstick. I think this look would be great to wear on a night out or special occasion.
